Residential Services
Rehabilitation Specialists offers several housing options that allow each individual to benefit from practicing skills by living in a supervised and structured environment. The level of supervision required by individuals is determined by their awareness and ability to be safe, and by their functional abilities. Performance in these two areas determines which level of residential rehabilitation the individual participates in. Residential options include group living that varies based on level of abilities, supported apartments, and transition to independent living. Services are provided for short or long intervals, dependant on the individuals needs, abilities and funding.
In all levels of residential rehabilitation trained professionals provide therapeutic programming. The individual’s Case Coordinator coordinates input from the individuals being served and their families, physicians, and the comprehensive team from our Outpatient Rehabilitation Program, and the payor’s representative with the Residential Life Skills staff to ensure that optimum care is rendered resulting in successful outcomes.
Our homes and apartments are strategically located in communities with access to services and transportation. Individuals that participate in our residential rehabilitation programs enjoy a comfortable room and board, nutritional counseling, outpatient rehabilitation, transportation*, and access to ancillary services as needed. Our trained Residential Life Skills Trainers and Outpatient Rehabilitation Program staff provides the support services each individual requires in each level of residential programming. Additionally, On-Call staff is available for all levels of our residential rehabilitation programs.
The goal for many of individuals we serve is to have residential rehabilitation culminate in a return to home, or to independent living. Rehabilitation Specialists offers supports to assist in transition process, in either scenario.
